My DOC Small Group

February 10-12, 2006. About 60 students and a InterVarsity staff from Sonoma State, Chico State, and Sac State gathered in Santa Rosa, CA to learn what it means to be followers of Jesus during the college years. The talk series for the weekend included repentance, following Jesus as Lord, connecting daily with God, leading the lost into the Word of God, growing in our identity as witnesses, and following Jesus together as a community.

We had such a good time as we heard from speakers (I spoke on following Jesus as a community) and got to know one another more. Sac State brought 20 students — almost triple the amount we brought last year!!! We had such a great time seeing God move!

I led a small group with the girls pictured above and to the right. We had an incredible time as we shared our struggles, challenges, and joys and saw God meet us throughout the weekend. Praise to the Lord who is always transforming us into His Image. Pray as we meet twice a month for accountability and prayer for the remainder of the semester!
