when you have a little kid who is sick, you really don't want to go around getting everyone else and their little people sick. but being housebound multiple days is akin to torture.
what's the solution?
my particular kidlet is a big fan of any type of transportation. trains and airplanes are at the top of the list, but tractors, emergency vehicles, autos, boats, etc aren't too far behind.
yesterday we left the house, drove to the nearest light rail station, sat in the shade, and watched 4 or 5 choo choo's come and go. we also saw a tractor and a fire truck along the way.
the cost? a tiny bit of gas
the benefit? priceless
a happy little boy and mom (we got out of the house and didn't get anyone sick!)
