There really is nothing in the world like being outside and digging in dirt with your kid. Particularly if you are both trying to grow food. In the beginning, we were created to tend the earth. If you play in the dirt, you get to experience something very deep in the process. A communion that goes beyond words.
Probably my favorite hour this week happened this evening as I was watering (slow down there little buddy!) and getting my hands dirty with my little guy.
