renewed

you know when there's the person or appointment God has been preparing you for for awhile? that came today as i met an intervarsity alumni who is also very engaged in the local community. the cool thing is that this person has been led by God into all different ventures in this neighborhood and holds lots of authority and power, and yet clearly attributes all of it to God and acts in humility and Spirit-leading. this meeting created renewal in me. hope and joy for ways our connections can be a gift to one another and to our community. thankfulness for the way this servant has been faithful to the ways God has been leading. excitement for the renewal that's come in this community...
