WITH

advent is upon us again
how do we respectfully and creatively andintentionally enter into this season of anticipation, focusing our hearts, minds, souls, and strength (and let's be honest... pocketbooks) in the right place and way?
this season reminds me of the significance of the word with.
while the newest toy or thing might seem important, they are fleeting.
but spending time WITH, now that's lasting.
jesus did that too. he was born into human skin though we wrinkle and itch and shiver and all of that when he could have remained enveloped in majesty. he did that to be with us and to bring us life changing hope.
as i continue to enter into advent, i continue to choose (and want to and need) to be with -- little kidlets, neighbors, family, friends and stranger.
may you enjoy being with, being present with those in your life during advent...
