blinking light

it's the second busiest month of my year. march was the first. i wasn't sure i'd get through fine, but i did. we all did. i work part-time, directing college students through something akin to an alternative spring break. during spring break or at the beginning of summer. during this busy season, i work much more than part-time in a crazy configuring of hours. all while being intentional in the present moment with all the kidlets in my life (my own and "shared" little buddies). a blinking light on my laptop reminds me that there's always more to do. it screams at me. MORE.WORK. depending on many factors, the light might win or it might just sit there, haunting me. i'm positive that may will be as incredible as march was. april was fantastic too. but i'm mindful that blinking lights and thousands of details does not dictate life. living in shalom; that's where life is truly found.
