i was just telling some friends this evening about internet use way back in the dinosaur (of internet) days. so much has changed in relatively little time.
today, i held my smartphone while my boys played on a playground.
my phone somehow connected to a conference that i otherwise wouldn't have been able to participate in on the other side of the country.
it was a clear connection. and while i couldn't see the faces or physically sit next to conference attendees, it was a decent alternative.
google hangouts and skyping have created all kinds of avenues for connecting with others around the globe.
i'm thankful.
and my heart is processing both the exciting and the more challenging aspects of streamed material from today. (feel free to ask more if you're interested.)
